Project Description
Champion Steel Concept specializes in functional yet visually appealing perimeter solutions that address Nigeria’s common needs for privacy, security, ventilation, and dust control in urban/suburban settings. This large-format horizontal louver panel exemplifies our precision in fabricating scalable, durable screens that transform ordinary boundary walls into sophisticated architectural features.
Design & Construction Highlights:
Slat Configuration: Multiple parallel horizontal slats (flat bar or rectangular section, typically 50–75 mm wide × 3–5 mm thick) spaced at consistent intervals (≈80–120 mm) to block direct line-of-sight while allowing cross-ventilation, natural light diffusion, and reduced wind pressure — striking an effective balance between privacy and openness.
Frame Structure: Robust perimeter box-section frame (e.g., 50×50 mm or 60×40 mm RHS/SHS) with internal vertical stiffeners and horizontal supports to prevent bowing or vibration under wind load. Base supports (welded feet or concrete plinth anchors) ensure stable freestanding or wall-top mounting.
Security Aspect: The closely spaced, horizontally oriented slats create a physical barrier that is difficult to climb or cut through quickly, adding a passive anti-intrusion layer when installed atop block walls or as standalone screens around sensitive areas.
Finish Preparation: Thorough surface prep (shot-blasting or mechanical abrasion), zinc-rich primer applied in uniform grey tone — providing excellent corrosion resistance in Abuja’s humid, dusty, rainy climate and serving as a high-quality base for final polyester powder coating in any RAL/BS color to match facades, gates, or roofing.
Installation Versatility: Designed for easy on-site fixing — bolted or welded to existing block/concrete walls, embedded into new masonry, or mounted on independent posts. The panel’s size and weight indicate suitability for larger spans (≈2.5–3.5 m wide × 1.8–2.2 m high), with modular joining possible for longer runs.
