This manual boom barrier exemplifies our expertise in producing durable, site-specific steel solutions tailored to Nigeria's traffic management and security needs.
Design & Construction Highlights:
Boom Arm Configuration: Two parallel horizontal tubes (likely 76–89 mm diameter mild steel pipe) sleeved or painted in alternating red and white reflective stripes for excellent conspicuity, even in low-light or dusty Abuja conditions. The dual-tube design increases torsional rigidity, reduces sagging over longer spans (typically 4–6 m), and enhances perceived strength.
Support Frame: Welded mild steel A-frame or goalpost-style supports with wide base plates (pre-drilled for chemical anchors or foundation bolts) to ensure stability when fixed to concrete. Diagonal cross-bracing prevents lateral movement under wind load or vehicle impact.
