Project Description
Champion Steel Concept delivers practical, high-performance entrance solutions built to withstand Nigeria's demanding environmental and security conditions. This imposing double-leaf gate exemplifies our commitment to combining robust construction, thoughtful design, and excellent value — ideal for securing residential compounds, small estates, office premises, or light industrial sites.
The gate features a classic split design:
Lower section: Fully welded solid sheet metal infill panels (or closely spaced expanded mesh/vertical bars) providing privacy, wind/dust blocking, and resistance to forced entry or vandalism.
Upper section: Vertical square/round bar infill for natural ventilation, visibility (important for security monitoring), and a lighter appearance that avoids an overly fortress-like feel.
Top security feature: Row of factory-formed, pointed anti-climb spikes (arrowhead or spear style) welded along the entire perimeter frame — a proven deterrent against unauthorized climbing attempts common in urban and peri-urban Abuja settings.
Technical & Fabrication Highlights:
Materials: Heavy-gauge mild steel (40×40 mm or 50×50 mm SHS/RHS for main frame, 25×25 mm or 20 mm round bars for infill, 3–4 mm thick sheet for panels), ensuring structural rigidity and longevity.
Welding & Assembly: Full-penetration MIG welding throughout, with reinforcement gussets at stress points (corners, hinge/latch areas) for maximum strength against repeated opening/closing and vehicle impact.
Finish: Surface preparation (shot-blasting or thorough wire-brushing), zinc-rich primer, high-build intermediate coat, and durable polyester powder coating in matte black — offering superior UV, moisture, and corrosion resistance in tropical climates with occasional heavy rain and dust.
Hardware Integration: Prepared for high-quality hinges (ball-bearing or heavy-duty barrel), latch/lock mechanisms (padlock hasp, rim lock, or electric strike compatibility), and optional automation tracks/rollers if sliding version.
On-site Considerations: Gate shown freestanding on temporary stands during fabrication/QC; final installation includes concrete footing anchors, plumb alignment, smooth swing/slide action, and secure perimeter fixing to block walls or pillars.
