This robust external rooftop access staircase was custom-designed and installed for a client who needed safe, permanent access to their building’s upper level — eliminating the risks and inconvenience of using ladders for routine maintenance tasks.
The staircase features a straight-flight design leading up to a generous rooftop landing/platform. Every component is fabricated from high-grade mild steel and finished in a bold, weather-resistant red coating that enhances visibility while protecting against rust in Abuja’s harsh sun, rain, and dust. The most critical safety feature is the raised diamond-plate (checkered) tread pattern on every step and the landing floor. This industrial-grade non-slip surface provides excellent grip even when wet or dusty — a vital consideration during the rainy season or after cleaning.
Key Features & Construction Details

Structure: Heavy-gauge steel stringers and frame engineered to carry multiple users and occasional maintenance equipment with zero flex or vibration.
Treads & Landing: Industrial diamond-plate steel sheets securely fixed for maximum slip resistance and long-term durability.
Safety Railings: Continuous red steel handrails and guardrails running the full length of both sides of the stairs and around the rooftop platform, meeting standard fall-protection requirements.
Finish: Multi-layer anti-corrosion treatment — sandblasted, primed, and finished with high-quality red powder coating or industrial epoxy paint for excellent UV resistance and minimal maintenance.
Integration: Professionally anchored to the building structure and rooftop slab to ensure long-term stability without compromising waterproofing.

Craftsmanship & Installation
Our team carried out precise on-site measurements to achieve the perfect rise, run, and angle for comfortable daily use. All welding and fabrication was done to the highest standard in our workshop before careful transportation and final assembly on site.
